The Challenge & Objectives
The client required a modern, highly performant web presence capable of generating leads and showcasing high-end renovation portfolios in the competitive Wellington market. • The objective was to build a visually striking, SEO-optimized platform with a bespoke admin dashboard for managing testimonials, blog posts, and project galleries without relying on bloated, slow third-party CMS platforms (like WordPress) that compromise Core Web Vitals.
Architecture & Engineering Decisions
• Architected a server-rendered application using Next.js 15+ App Router to ensure optimal Core Web Vitals and sub-second page loads. • Implemented Drizzle ORM over a relational database for end-to-end type-safe data access, completely eliminating runtime errors. • Built a custom, role-based admin dashboard secured by Better-Auth, allowing the client to independently manage dynamic case studies, blog content, and client reviews with instant static regeneration.
